Seline is a northern Dalmatian village on the shores of the Velebit Channel, 3 km south of Starigrad.
This region is particularly interesting because of the mountains in the vicinity of the sea. Velebit Mountain and Paklenica National Park attract speleologists, alpinists, botanists and hikers, while a long pebble beach surrounded by tamarisks and a clear sea is very popular with sea lovers. Since the inhabitants of Seline have traditionally lived off of agriculture, cattle breeding and fishery, they have a lot to offer – healthy food, home-made oil, cheese and honey, as well as fish and sea specialties.
Paklenica National Park is nearby for those who enjoy natural beauties, and if you are interested in rural life, you should visit the autochthon villages of Bucići, Jukići and Jurline at the foot of Velebit, which have preserved their traditional culture and hospitality – their dried figs and home made grappa are something you definitely have to taste.
