Sucuraj is a picturesque little fishing and tourist town on the east cape of the island Hvar (Central Dalmatia, Croatia). The town has got all necessary services: post office, infirmary, 3 markets, restaurants, bars, etc. Near the town there are several beautiful beaches. Here you can enjoy a beautiful climate, untouched nature and typical Dalmatian architecture with narrow streets.
Sucuraj is a small town grateful for tourists. Near the centre of the town there are two beaches, on the south side is a sand-bedded Cesminica, on the north side pebble Bilina. Near Sucuraj there are many beautiful and pictureful bays. The most colourful bay is on the south coast called Perna and on the north coast Mlaska (map). Both bays have beautiful sand beaches. To these (and other) bays you can go by boat. To the car-camp Mlaska (with FKK part) leads a 4 km road. There is a tourist board and a hotel in town. Many private houses provide apartments and pensions. Sucuraj has about 10 tourist vacancies where passing-throw and staying tourists can get good food, drinks and entertainment. Three shops have a wide assortment of goods. You can find in Sucuraj everything you need for your holiday. Thanks to various kinds of beaches in Sucuraj every tourist can find something he (or she) likes. You can spend the day on the beaches near the town or find a secret place for only yourself. You have these choices because Sucuraj is surrounded from north to south with more than 20 km of coastline and mostly untouched natural beauty. In Sucuraj there are organised tours and fish-picnics by boat to nearby places on the Makarska Riviera, peninsula Peljesac and the island of Korcula. If you want to cruise the island Hvar it is easy with your own vehicle or by regular bus lines. If you like fishing, diving or underwater fishing - Sucuraj is an ideal place for you. If you want to enjoy beautiful nature - Sucuraj is ideal for you. If you are sailing the Adriatic in your yacht Sucuraj is ideal for you too.
